Yesterday I was talking with a student of mine. She was having trouble with her pronunciation of some English words. She reminded me that I helped her say the word ‘arrive’, not ‘alive’. When she was told me that, she had a problem saying it again. So we went through a little exercise that I did with her, to say the words ‘arrive’ and ‘alive’. And she realized that she was able to say those words again. We went through a little exercise with other words that start with the letter R because her ‘R’ sounds were being confused with the L sound.

The point I’m trying to make to you is I would point to the word light and she would have to say the word right. And if she got it wrong, I would pleasantly, correct her, but we wind up having a very fun session. Now you may look at me and may not think that I’m a fun guy. Even when I look at myself, I don’t think I’m a fun guy either. But we had a great time and we wind up having some laughter in between the time that we were talking and sharing.

I was showing her pronunciation because as I’ve told you that it is, it is fun that propels the language. It is ‘fun’ that propels the learning. And if you’re having fun, then you lose all stress from the learning of the language that you’re trying to get ahold of. So we had fun and this is what I do. And I think many of you also like to have fun. I have another friend who says that he doesn’t speak English so well. But I want you to know that if you can you can understand my English, then you can speak English the exact same way that I’m speaking. But it will take some work just like my friend, who I spoke with yesterday. My student, who I spoke with yesterday, (who she is a nurse) is also a professional student. She’s a professional nurse, but she is also a student of English.

Many of you are professionals also, and yes, you will need the fun training that I give. And, yes I am fun to work with. And I can tell from the people that I teach and I train with every day that they have a good time. I make it my point that they have a good time. Because you have gotten to the point now with your English, where you want to speak it better. You want to be able to speak English the way you hear it in movies.

You want to speak English the way you hear native English speakers speak on videos. And let me just say, I am wanting the same thing for you. I am wanting you to speak English very well and very clear. Let me know the hard words. Let me know. What’s hard for you to say in English. I want to know what’s difficult for you to say in English, please leave a comment and let me know exactly what it is.

And stay healthy, stay safe, and keep smiling. And I’ll talk to you again soon. Very soon.

Bye for now.
